Flight Delay Policy
Flights in Florida rarely arrive on the clock. This page explains exactly how we handle delays, diversions, and early arrivals so your chauffeur meets you at the right time, every time.

Real-time flight tracking
Every airport arrival booked with us is tracked from takeoff to wheels-down. We pull live feeds from FlightAware and the FAA’s ASDI data for domestic flights, and from global carrier feeds for international arrivals. The tracking engine monitors:
- Scheduled versus actual wheels-up time
- In-air position and estimated time of arrival
- Landing (wheels-down) event
- Gate arrival and deplaning begin
- Diversions to an alternate airport
You don’t have to notify us when your flight is late. Our dispatcher and your assigned chauffeur see updates in real time — pickup is automatically re-timed to match the revised arrival.
Delayed flights
The chauffeur departs the garage based on the current projected arrival time, not the originally scheduled time. If your flight goes from on-time to delayed while we’re watching, dispatch adjusts the departure and your chauffeur does not sit waiting for three hours with the meter running. The 60 minutes of complimentary wait time starts from the actual wheels-down time, not the scheduled time — delays do not eat into your free wait window.
Early arrivals
If your flight lands early (common at MIA and FLL with Caribbean and South American inbound traffic), your chauffeur aims to be at the curb or in baggage claim by the revised arrival time when it’s operationally possible. If the flight comes in significantly earlier than scheduled, a short wait at the terminal is possible — but the clock on complimentary time still starts at the wheels-down event, so you’re covered.
Diversions
Florida summer thunderstorms, fog at FLL, or a medical emergency on board can divert your flight to an alternate airport. We handle diversions in one of three ways, depending on circumstances:
- Short diversions— if the flight waits on the ground at another Florida airport and continues to the original destination, dispatch re-times your pickup to the new ETA. No additional cost.
- Permanent diversions within Florida — we meet you at the diversion airport instead, or transport you from the diversion airport to your original destination at a re-quoted rate. Dispatcher contacts you as soon as the diversion is confirmed.
- Out-of-state diversions— we cancel the airport pickup at no charge and work with you on a revised plan once you re-book a flight into Florida. See the Cancellation Policy for the no-fee provision.
Cancelled flights
If your flight is cancelled by the airline, notify dispatch as soon as you know. We waive the same-day cancellation fee in this case. If you’re rebooked on a later flight the same day, we can hold the booking and re-time to the new arrival at no additional charge. If you rebook to a different day, we cancel the reservation at no charge and you book again for the new date.
Missed connections
If you miss a connection upstream and your Florida arrival changes as a result, the tracking engine updates automatically as soon as the airline publishes your new flight. No action needed from you. If you’re rebooked by the airline onto a carrier we can’t track (rare, but it happens with interline rebooking), please reply to the confirmation email with the new flight number and carrier.
Outbound (departure) flights
For drops to the airport, we don’t monitor your outbound flight in the same way — our job is to get you to curbside on time. The pickup time you provided assumes you’ve built in airline-recommended buffer (typically 2 hours domestic, 3 hours international).
If your departure gets pushed earlier and you need to move the pickup up, contact dispatch as soon as you know. Same goes for departure delays where you’d rather leave the hotel later — 2 hours’ notice is ideal to keep the modification free under the cancellation policy.
Private aviation and FBO pickups
FBO pickups at Miami Opa-Locka, Fort Lauderdale Executive, Palm Beach, Signature at MIA, and the other FL general aviation terminals are tracked differently — private flights don’t publish public schedules. For FBO pickups, the pilot or flight coordinator typically notifies the FBO 15–30 minutes before landing; they relay to our chauffeur.
If you’re the traveler, share the tail number and expected arrival with dispatch when booking — we can often pull tail-number position data directly.
When tracking fails
Very rarely, the data feed lags or a carrier’s system goes dark. If that happens and you’ve landed without a chauffeur in sight, call the dispatch line immediately: +1-347-321-9929. A human answers 24/7 and we’ll locate your driver within a few minutes.
