Local tips for getting around Boca Raton

Operational notes from our Boca Raton dispatch team — the kind of routing detail that saves 15 to 30 minutes on a bad day.

  • Boca sits halfway between FLL and PBI — the choice is usually carrier-driven, not distance-driven (PBI is only 4-6 min longer).

  • The Boca Raton (resort) spans three properties — Cloister, Beach Club, and Bungalows — with a private water shuttle between them; ground pickup is at the Camino Real main gate.

  • Florida Turnpike Sawgrass exit at Glades Rd is the fast MIA route outside AM peak.

  • Sunday winter polo matches in Wellington pull steady Boca traffic north — book the return 2 days ahead during season.

  • Town Center mall weekend traffic backs up Glades Rd between Military Trail and St Andrews Blvd — use Yamato Rd alternate.

  • Brightline Boca Raton station at 101 NW 4th St (adjacent to Mizner Park) enforces 5-min porte-cochère dwell — stage on NW 1st Ave for clustered arrivals.

About Boca Raton car service

Boca Raton sits almost exactly halfway between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, which makes airport routing a split decision. For FLL runs from most of Boca we use I-95 South to Glades Road and onto I-95, or Florida Turnpike South from the Boca Raton entrance at Glades Road — the Turnpike is usually faster outside morning peak. PBI runs use I-95 North to Belvedere Road and are typically only 4-6 minutes longer than FLL runs despite PBI being closer as the crow flies, because the I-95 stretch between Boca and Delray often runs free. MIA is reserved for American Airlines international where no equivalent is available at FLL or PBI; that run is 65-85 minutes. Boca Raton itself has several operational quirks. The Boca Raton Resort & Club (now The Boca Raton) straddles the Intracoastal — the Cloister (historic building) and the Yacht Club sit on the mainland, the Beach Club sits across the Intracoastal on A1A, and the Bungalows are on the lagoon — guests moving between the properties use the resort's private water shuttle, but our ground transportation always loads at the main entrance gate on S Ocean Boulevard / Camino Real. Royal Palm Yacht Club and Royal Palm Place (Royal Palm Polo Sports Club) are commonly confused; the Yacht Club is the waterfront residential community, Polo is the Glades Road entertainment district. Town Center at Boca Raton on Glades Road is one of the largest malls in the region and drives weekend traffic between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Mizner Park, the mixed-use development on Federal Highway at Plaza Real, has narrow internal drives and loads at the Plaza Real valet or at the Boca Raton Museum of Art entrance. Boca Raton Innovation Campus and Florida Atlantic University off Glades Road drive corporate and academic demand. Festival of the Arts Boca in March, Boca Bacchanal in May, and the Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance in February are the annual peaks. Sunday polo matches at the International Polo Club in Wellington (40 minutes north) are a common Boca Raton winter social itinerary — we run Boca-to-Wellington round trips weekly from December through April. Hurricane risk is standard South Florida — evacuation zones A and B include the eastern beachfront communities. Summer storms flood Glades Road at I-95 and Federal Highway between Palmetto Park Road and Camino Real.

Boca Raton car service — frequently asked questions

Common questions from passengers booking car service in Boca Raton. Each answer includes Boca Raton-specific routing and operational detail.

Should I use FLL or PBI from Boca Raton?
From Boca Raton the choice is almost always carrier-driven, not distance-driven — PBI and FLL are within 2 miles and 4-6 minutes of each other from Boca. FLL is 25 miles (30-50 minutes) via I-95 South to exit 26 and serves Southwest, JetBlue, Allegiant, Spirit, and more. PBI is 27 miles (30-55 minutes) via I-95 North to Belvedere Road and serves Delta, American, JetBlue, United. We will route to whichever your airline uses; if you have flexibility, PBI is often the quieter TSA experience.
Where is pickup at The Boca Raton resort?
The Boca Raton (formerly Boca Raton Resort & Club) is a four-property resort straddling the Intracoastal. The Cloister (historic tower), the Yacht Club, and the Bungalows are all on the mainland side accessed through the Camino Real main gate on S Ocean Boulevard; the Beach Club is across the Intracoastal on A1A with its own access. We always load at the Camino Real main gate for mainland properties and directly at the Beach Club gatehouse on A1A for beach-side guests. The resort's private water shuttle connects the two but does not carry vehicles or luggage for external pickups.
Do you connect with Brightline Boca Raton station?
Yes. The Brightline Boca Raton station at 101 NW 4th Street is directly adjacent to Mizner Park and is one of our regular pickup points. The station porte-cochère enforces a 5-minute standing limit, so for clustered arrivals we stage on NW 1st Avenue and pull up when the train is 2-3 minutes out. Brightline connects Boca to West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Orlando (MCO Terminal C), and we handle station-to-hotel transfers across all five markets.
Can you drive to Wellington for Sunday polo matches?
Yes — this is one of our most consistent winter-season itineraries. The International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington hosts Sunday matches from January through April, and Boca Raton residents drive north for brunch and the featured match. Typical routing is I-95 North to Southern Boulevard West to Forest Hill Boulevard, 35-55 minutes door-to-door. We handle the round-trip hourly charter — match days run 3-4 hours with chauffeur on site. Book Sunday polo trips 48-72 hours ahead during winter season.
How does car service work at Mizner Park?
Mizner Park is the mixed-use development on Federal Highway at Plaza Real with the Boca Raton Museum of Art, iPic Theaters, restaurants, and the Mizner Park Amphitheater. The internal drives are narrow and parking is valet at most restaurants. We load at the Plaza Real valet on the west side and at the Museum of Art entrance on the north side. For amphitheater events (Festival of the Arts Boca in March, summer concerts), we stage on NE 2nd Street east of Federal Highway, not inside the Mizner Park loop itself.
Do you cover Delray Beach and Deerfield Beach from Boca?
Yes. Delray Beach (Atlantic Avenue, the Seagate Hotel, Colony Hotel) is 10-15 minutes north of Boca via I-95 or A1A, and Deerfield Beach is 10-15 minutes south via US-1. Common trips include Atlantic Avenue dinner pickups from Boca Raton hotels, Delray Beach to PBI runs (20-30 minutes), and Deerfield Beach Pier area transfers. Atlantic Avenue is pedestrian-heavy on weekend nights and we load on NE 2nd Avenue rather than directly on Atlantic.
Is Boca Raton Airport (BCT) part of your service?
Yes. Boca Raton Airport (BCT) is a general aviation field off Airport Road east of I-95 and handles Part 135 charter and private jet traffic. We coordinate with the BCT FBOs for ramp pickup and can meet aircraft at block-in. Typical runs from BCT: The Boca Raton resort 10-15 minutes, Royal Palm Yacht Club 8-12 minutes, Town Center 5-10 minutes. For commercial flights, we route to FLL or PBI instead.
